🎥 Why “AI slop” is no longer working
SPONSORED BY ARCADS
My #1 fear going into 2026 wasn’t AI replacing people.
It was social media platforms being filled with AI slop. It’s estimated that around 20 to 33% of video content falls into that category as of 2025.
Audiences can now spot low-quality AI instantly and keep scrolling.
But there’s a shift happening.
I’m starting to notice a new trend: AI videos that don’t look like AI at all.
Arcads lets you create full, high-performing AI UGC-style ads in about five minutes. In many cases, these ads perform just as well as, or better than, human-recorded UGC.
You can choose from multiple AI actors and have them promote any product. The result is complete ads that blend naturally into the feed.
What’s especially powerful is that you can test many actors, products, and formats without needing a huge budget.
A few things that stood out to me when testing Arcads :
Instantly swap creators, products, and formats
Control emotions on demand
Recreate ad formats that are already working for competitors in your space
Create your ads in 30+ languages with accurate translations
If you want to create realistic AI UGC ads or high-performing AI videos for your brand, Arcads is worth trying now.
👨💻Your AI Images Look Fake Because They're Too Perfect
I’ve shared a couple of posts on Instagram recently showing more realistic AI images.
One as a cinematic, fashion-style carousel. Another as a short video breaking down how to get realistic skin, visible pores, and uneven texture.
The response has been consistent. People asking how these images look so real.
If you’ve been creating AI images since 2022, you remember what they looked like back then.

AI didn’t just get better. It got messier.
Today, the tools are capable of incredibly realistic results. Yet most AI images still look fake.
Why? They’re still too perfect. Perfect lighting. Flawless skin. Clean compositions.
When I create realistic AI images, I don’t prompt for “realistic.”
I prompt for imperfection:
Harsh or uneven lighting
Motion blur and imperfect framing
Visible texture and grain
Messy, blurred backgrounds
So stop describing the scene.
Start describing how the camera behaves.
If you want a simple workflow for this, I’ve put together a FREE Realistic AI Image Cheatsheet you can use right away.
💸 4 Free AI tools for images and video in 2026
Most free AI tools aren’t worth your time.
But we can’t close our eyes to how fast AI subscriptions add up, especially for image and video generation.
Here are five free AI tools for image and video that are genuinely worth using:
1. ChatGPT, free version
Best for: quick images and light edits
👉 https://chatgpt.com
If you need concepts, thumbnails, or fast visual ideas, this is surprisingly capable. Daily limits apply, but it’s more than enough for testing and iteration.
2. Grok Image & Video
Best for: realistic images and videos
👉 https://grok.com
One of the strongest free image and video generators right now. Outputs feel grounded and less “AI-polished” than most older tools.
3. Google AI Studio, Nano Banana
Best for: realistic images and image editing
👉 https://aistudio.google.com
Great for realistic visuals, variations, and edits. This replaces a lot of paid tools for social content and thumbnails.
4. Open-source video models (Wan2.2 / LTX-2)
Best for: full control, no subscriptions
👉 https://github.com
If you’re comfortable running models locally or via community UIs, these give you full freedom. No paywalls, but you’ll need GPU or cloud credits.

If you’re just starting out, these are enough to get you shipping. Paid tools can wait. Upgrade only when you know what works.
